About the Position

Hip eCommerce is seeking a Business Development Specialist for HipComic, our thriving online comic book marketplace. In this pivotal role, you'll harness your deep expertise in comic books to strategically expand our seller base, significantly increase our auction Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), and streamline the onboarding process for new sellers to ensure their success from the start. Your mission will include identifying and engaging potential new sellers, guiding them through the onboarding process with ease, optimizing sales strategies for existing sellers, and helping drive overall marketplace growth. By combining your passion for comic books with a strategic approach to business development, you will play a key role in shaping the future of HipComic as the premier online destination for comic books.


How You'll Spend Your Time


πŸš€ Seller Acquisition: Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard high-potential sellers to join the HipComic community, managing a robust pipeline of prospects and moving them through the funnel.

πŸ’Ό Partnership Development: Form strategic partnerships to amplify HipComic's growth and market reach, crafting deals and co-marketing strategies that pave the way for potential acquisitions.

πŸ›  Seller Onboarding: Facilitate seamless onboarding of new sellers, actively guiding them, enrolling them in internal programs, ensuring feature adoption, and setting them up for success.

✈️ Travel: Travel to meet potential sellers who can make a significant impact on the platform.

🌐 Engaging the Community: Be an active presence in comic book circles, promoting HipComic and fostering connections.

🎯 Performance Monitoring: Relentlessly monitor and strive to exceed KPIs relevant to the success and growth of sellers.

Schedule Requirements

Employees are expected to work Monday-Friday within standard operating hours of 7am-5pm Eastern Time Monday-Thursday, and 8am-12pm Eastern Time Friday.
