Email Marketing Specialist
Hip eCommerce is searching for an innovative email marketer to drive growth of Hip eCommerce’s GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) through email marketing campaign execution, analysis and optimization.
The ideal candidate for this role will have an entrepreneurial mindset, approaching existing email marketing strategies with fresh eyes and creative ideas, and finding new ways to utilize email marketing to acquire new customers for Hip eCommerce’s three marketplaces.
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our email campaigns contribute to the overall customer experience of our buyers and sellers.

About the Team
This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a quickly growing team of passionate, talented and experienced individuals.
Develop strategy for and execute email marketing campaigns for sellers on HipStamp.com, HipComic.com and HipPostcard.com
Work with sellers to execute email marketing campaigns on their behalf including setting up creative sales and promotions
Up-level the creative quality of our existing email programs, including auditing existing communications and suggesting ways to present information in a more engaging way
Quality assure and proof marketing emails to ensure compliance with email campaign briefs, internal creative & editorial guidelines, proper tracking, email best practices, and CAN-SPAM
Maintain the data quality of the email database
Monitor KPIs and work with ESPs and ISPs to safeguard email deliverability
Analyze email marketing data and optimize current strategies based on findings
Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to set goals and milestones for the email marketing program

1-2 years of email marketing experience (agency experience a plus)
Basic knowledge of HTML
Previous experience with an email marketing platform
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop (or better yet, Affinity Designer/Photo)
Understanding of email design best practices, inbox deliverability and eCommerce psychology
Ability to analyze large datasets and understand how to take action to drive results
Desire to take ownership, brainstorming collaboratively, but executing independently
Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic organization
